Chicago Strip Clubs: Trial could go to jury today: Two convicted felons testify against Harris …

Launden Luckett, a convicted felon from Chicago, testified in Howard Superior Court 1 Thursday that he and Jesse Harris Jr., also of Chicago, shot at Abby Rethlake’s white Monte Carlo April 5, 2008, with the intent to kill everyone in the car.
Luckett’s testimony, along with testimony from Edward Ledezma, an Illinois prison informant, shook up the two victims’ families and a few jurors.
Harris, 27, is on trial on charges of murder and Class A felony charges of conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of attempted murder and aggravated battery in the case. According to the charging information, Harris allegedly killed 18-year-old Rethlake, and conspired and attempted to kill Vetter, who was 19 at the time, and Mark Matthews, a second passenger in Rethlake’s car.
Luckett, 23, told jurors that he and Harris belong to a Chicago gang called “Blackstones,” and were at Little Daddy’s strip club prior to the shooting.
