Stone Park, Ill. – There’s an outpouring of support for a group of nuns in the west suburbs as they fight to keep a strip club from opening right next to their convent.

In an exclusive story, FOX Chicago News and the Better Government Association reported that a $3 million, 18,000 square foot upscale strip club is close to opening its doors in Stone Park, just 18 inches from the convent’s property line.
About 40 nuns live and work at the convent. They’re angry that they never got any warning about the strip club from Stone Park because the village sent a public notice to the wrong address.

The strip club owner says he’s soundproofed the building and directed the bright lights away from the convent so the nuns won’t be bothered.
