The mother of a former student at Camelot Therapeutic Day School in Hoffman Estates has sued the school over what she said was mistreatment of her son. In the suit, Robin Liesmann asserts the school, which serves children with learning and development disabilities, caused “severe and permanent psychological and emotional injury” by regularly placing her son in seclusion, even though the staff was not authorized to do so. The suit seeks more than $50,000 in damages. No one at Camelot could be reached for comment late Friday.
