WASHINGTON (CNN) — The head of the U.S. Northern Command has a reminder for his troops supporting the upcoming NATO summit in Chicago: no alcohol, no prostitutes.
It comes as the U.S. Southern Command finalizes its probe into the conduct of 12 troops assigned to security for a recent presidential trip to Colombia. Investigations continue into an alleged prostitution scandal involving military and Secret Service agents who were in the South American nation in advance of a trip last month by President Barack Obama.

Chicago Adult Entertainment: AIDS fight enters new phase with prevention pill
May 14th, 2012 — Chicago adult entertainment
An estimated 1.2 million Americans and millions more around the world have HIV. Unless the virus is treated with antiviral drugs, it can turn into full-blown AIDS. Antivirals have made the disease more manageable and allowed patients to live much longer than when the epidemic began in the early 1980s.
Nevertheless, about 50,000 new infections are diagnosed in the U.S. each year, a number that has held steady for about 15 years.
Truvada represents “a pretty radical step, but I think it’s a necessary step,” said Sterman, who prescribes it to infected patients and those who are healthy but at risk. “We’ve come as far as we can with condom use and safe-sex strategies.”
The drug would be recommended for people at high risk of getting the virus, such as gay men with multiple sex partners, prostitutes and people whose partners are infected.

Chicago Escorts: The Killing Recap: Off The Reservation (Season 2, Episode 8)
May 14th, 2012 — Chicago escorts
Admittedly, there is little forward momentum on solving the case tonight. All we find out is that the maid from last week found Rosie’s backpack on the casino grounds and dropped it off at the Larsen’s residence to give them closure/aid in the investigation. It’s the type of reveal that makes you wonder whether the show planned this all along, and it was just playing with the audience’s expectations by performing the drop using moodiness, fear, and score to mislead us. If so, it shows that the series actually does have a sense of humor, albeit one it rarely employs. However, the maid doesn’t seem like the type to go off the reservation (no pun intended) on such a dangerous mission. We also learn that Rosie has a key to the 10th floor of the casino that could literally be the key to solving her death and that she worked as a maid, not a prostitute.
Chicago Strip Clubs: Bobcat Goldthwait’s ‘God Bless America’ Takes Aim at Stupidity
May 13th, 2012 — Chicago strip clubs
It is through Roxy that Goldthwait the writer both gets to have the most fun and runs into the film’s biggest problems. Roxy is a psychopath. Sure, she may be right that Diablo Cody is the “only stripper who suffers from too much self-esteem” or that “Glee” is bad for America, but her continuous criticism of the world around her overtakes the film to the point that Frank becomes too much of a secondary character. And Roxy becomes less and less likable to the point that she becomes difficult to root for in any way. Yes, I understand that she’s supposed to be broadly painted in order for the satire to work but then Goldthwait fumbles the final arc of the character. I’m not going to spoil anything but Roxy doesn’t work for me, especially given how I think we’re supposed to feel about her during the ridiculous ending (which is clearly a place that Bobcat Goldthwait wanted to go as a filmmaker but that never feels like anyplace that Frank or Roxy would go as characters).
