Okay, so Lush is technically not a BYOB, but hear me out. When hipster-yuppies dare to dream, they dream of Lush. At Lush, you buy from the store’s extensive collection of beer and wine, including from two $10-and-under sections and several fridges full of single bottle exotic beers. Then, you drink the bottles in Lush’s wide leather armchairs and order one of the spot’s many cheeses, cured meats, or sandwiches, which are available Tuesday through Saturday 5 – 10 p.m. at West Town and Roscoe Village. Food + choose your own cheap bottle — that sounds enough like a BYO for me.
But BYO alone does not a hipster-yuppie paradise make. Lush is the anti-chain wine–it was started over frustration about grocery store offerings, according to the website, which also describes the staff as “geeky” about wine. The outside of the West Town looks like a high-end strip club, but the inside feels vintage and gothic, softly lit by novelty chandeliers made of wine glasses. Its food menu requires an experienced chees …

They play in Soldier Field, a place built to celebrate our brave soldiers. Soldier Field is on the lakefront and the skyline serves as a backdrop for fans all over the world. I even like the new Soldier Field. I think it’s design is unique and a work of art.
I like that the Bears play in the cold, in Bear weather. I can’t imagine the Bears playing a home game under a roof.
The Bears even seem to be a fitting name for a professional football team in Chicago. Could you imagine… the Chicago Cardinals? They don’t sound tough and the name itself doesn’t match the personality of the team or the city.
I even like that the team doesn’t have cheerleaders. I want to be able to bring my child to a Bears game and not have to ask questions about why these women are dancing like strippers, half-naked in 40 degree weather. I’d rather answer questions about what just happened on the field. Besides, it has nothing to do with the game.

There are times in the live show when the vocals of Phil Angotti sound eerily familiar to those of Jim Ellison. Angotti showcased not only that but also his range as he went back-t0-back from the soft and sweet stylings of “Very First Lie” to the louder near screams of “She’s Going Through My Head” for his best performances of the evening.
The girl in front of me (to the left side of the stage directly in front of Angotti) took an intoxicated cue to treat the guardrail as her own personal stripper pole when the group tore into a pulsing version of their 1992 hit “What Girls Want,” proving that girls do indeed seem to want love, drugs, sex and affection as Ellison once so wisely suggested… or at least in this particular case, more beer.

Former Stripper Justina Cardosa Sues Police Chief for $250K After $714 of Tips Goes Missing
…
The young stripper is now seeking $250,000 in damages from Whiting.
Huff Po describes the bizarre situation that lead to the court case:”Whiting was driving to work in an unmarked police vehicle on Aug. 28 when he activated his police lights and began chasing Cardoso’s Ford Explorer in Pawtucket, police say.
The chase ended when the SUV crashed into a parked car and the people inside fled.
Whiting later admitted to a Pawtucket officer that he stole money from a pocketbook “loaded with cash” that he found inside the SUV, investigators wrote in an affidavit. The Pawtucket officer said Whiting gave him the money and told him to spend it in Las Vegas and not discuss it.”
The police chief pleaded not guilty earlier this month to charges he stole the money from Cardoso’s Coach pocketbook and then tried to cover it up.
His next court date is Feb. 16.

The Villa Park Marine, who had spent seven months stationed in Afghanistan, served as grand marshal of his hometown’s July 4 parade. “It was nice to do that and see everybody who is supporting us,” he said.
Tom Stuker
The Bloomingdale man became the first United Airlines passenger ever to log 10 million air miles with the company. Stuker, who said he was afraid to fly when he started 25 years ago, set the record while en route from Los Angeles back home. He has traveled more than 700,000 miles for each of the past four years. United officials said its other top fliers have logged closer to 3 million miles.
Jenna Jameson
The adult film actress was sued for allegedly breaching her contract with theaters in Naperville and Woodridge by ditching special screenings to promote her 2008 film “Zombie Strippers.” The theaters claimed Jameson instead opted to hang out at a celebrity blogger’s birthday party.

Emerging from under the neon sign, “Jilly’s Exotic Dancing,” is John Chilton, wearing a black windbreaker and black toque. Mr. Chilton, 62, moved to this hotel two months ago after his previous home, the Edwin, changed hands. A former driver, he had an accident and now survives on $1,050 a month from the Ontario Disability Support Program, of which $550 goes to his room. He shares a communal shower.
“It’s not too bad,” he says. “I live on the second floor. I don’t bother anybody.” Evenings, he frequents Jilly’s, and often eats the burger and fries special, $4.50. As Mr. Chilton and I walk up to Coffee & Donuts, on Broadview just north of Gerrard Street East, for coffee, he talks about Jilly’s.
“What are people so upset about?” he asks. “If they don’t want to, they don’t have to go to the strip clubs. Maybe they don’t believe in all that. Maybe they don’t smoke or drink…. You can be religious and all that but nobody’s perfect.

Chicago Strip Clubs: The ten best moments in the Chicago Blackhawks holiday video

9. A lot of the other performers are phoning it in, but Patrick Sharp really seems to be into it. Those are some legit finger snaps. And he’s got a serious Lawrence Welk thing going on.
8. “Deck Jamal and you’ll be sorry” is an awesome parody song that needs to be fully written and recorded immediately. As is “I Saw Mommy Kissing Montador”.
7. Niklas Hjalmarsson’s sudden switch from dorky Swedish caroller to Emo Santa is the greatest heel turn since Hulk Hogan joined the NWO.
6. The fact that Marian Hossa’s rendition of “Oh Hossa Night” cuts out before he reaches the refrain is music’s best “leave them wanting more” moment since Coldplay’s “Don’t Panic” ended before the bridge.
5. Brian Bickell looks like some sort of Christmas stripper for people spending the holidays alone.
