One morning in November 2010, she tried to sell sex to an undercover police officer and wound up in jail again. She thought she was heading back to prison, but instead, she was offered a spot in an experimental new courts program aimed at rehabilitating prostitutes.
There are an estimated 16,000 to 25,000 prostitutes in the Chicago area, and their stories are remarkably similar. Most were sexually abused as children, started using drugs early and ran away from home. Most started selling sex between the ages of 12 and 14, oftentimes after being recruited by pimps. And most get arrested repeatedly — dozens, even hundreds of times — before they get off the streets, if they manage to get off the streets at all.

Chicago, IL-(ENEWSPF)- A 39-year-old Bolingbrook man was arrested earlier today on charges he recruited and forced a minor female to engage in prostitution. The arrest was announced by Robert D. Grant, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Patrick J. Fitzgerald, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois.

According to the complaint, CARSON has been actively recruiting young females, including minors under the age of 18, to work for him as prostitutes in and around the Chicago area since at least 2010. CARSON advertised their services over the Internet and used cellular telephones to schedule and book “dates” for the girls. CARSON is believed to have employed others to assist him with running his prostitution operation, driving the girls to motels, hotels, and other locations to meet with customers.

A cash-strapped 17-year-old girl fell under the control of an ex-convict from Bolingbrook, who forced her into prostitution for more than three months until her mother filed a missing persons report and later rescued her, according to the FBI.

Carson allegedly raped her in a motel room and forced her to start working for him that night as a prostitute. He allegedly threatened to kill her if she didn’t continue working for him, the FBI said.

An FBI news release indicated Carson since 2010 has been recruiting young women — including minors — to work for him as prostitutes in the Chicago area. He allegedly used various websites to arrange the trysts.

Carson was arrested again in August 2010 and charged with soliciting a prostitute, during a sting operation conducted by Oswego police, records indicated.

The two signs are displayed in the window of a former dry cleaner’s at 805 N. Northwest Highway. One of the signs, which faces east, reads “P.R. Adult Store” and welcomes city officials and city attorneys, but promises, “names kept secret.”
The other sign, which faces Northwest Highway, reads, “Massages by Dicks and Trix” and offers discounts to police, fire and city officials, and the city attorney. A line at the bottom reads, “Happy days are here again!”
The phone number on the sign is the same cell-phone number that was printed on posters advertising “Trixee’s Escort Service,” which appeared in the strip mall last year. The city of Park Ridge filed legal action against the shopping center’s reported owner, Michael Schiessle, and was granted a temporary restraining order allowing city officials to enter the vacant store and remove the ads.

Carson allegedly used violence to force his victims into the sex trade and advertised their services on the Internet, according to the documents. He kept all or portions of the money they were paid by customers, the complaint said.
Carson, charged with one count of sexual trafficking of a child by force, fraud or coercion, was arrested Tuesday morning at his home. He is scheduled to appear Friday for a detention hearing.
The 17-year-old girl who authorities say Carson forced into prostitution was introduced to him a year ago after confiding to an acquaintance that she was having financial problems, according to the complaint.

“One of the victims, a then 17-year old female, was allegedly raped by Carson and forced to perform oral sex the first time they met,” The FBI claimed in its statement. “Afterwards, Carson then sent the victim out that same night to engage in prostitution.”
A second young woman accused Carson of repeatedly beating and raping her, including in one instance when she told him she no longer wanted to work as his prostitute, the FBI said.

As a 21-year-old on a mission trip to the red light district in Amsterdam, Holland, David Izenbart said he saw the power of God in people’s lives.
“That (mission) was my call to ministry,” said Izenbart, who for the last six years has been the senior pastor at Living Springs Community Church at 19051 S. Halsted St. in Glenwood.
How did he get into his job?
“I was born in Sheldon, Iowa, but I claim Sheboygan, Wis., as the place where I grew up,” said Izenbart, whose father, now retired, was a pastor for the Reformed Church in America.
